Ermedin Demirovic has joined Stuttgart from Augsburg on a four-year deal for an initial fee of €21m.
Stuttgart have confirmed the signing of Ermedin Demirovic until 2028 after the Bosnian international joined from Augsburg for €21m plus €5m in bonuses, making it the club’s most expensive signing ever, Ufabet Germany reported on Tuesday.
Stuttgart team, who were fighting for survival in 2023 through the play-offs, surprised everyone by UFABET finishing as Bundesliga runners-up last season and securing their first Champions League spot since the 2009-10 season.
“Ermedin Demirovic has shown the particular qualities that he has over a number of years now and has proven himself to be one of the top strikers in the Bundesliga,” said board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth in a club statement.
What are those qualities? “Ermedin knows how to score goals and how to set them up,” Wolgemuth said. “His experience and his mindset make him a real asset for our team.”
But Stuttgart lost a number of key players including Valdemar Anton, Iroki Ito and Seru Girassi before the White Horse team reached an agreement to bring Demirovic from Augsburg for €21m plus €5m in bonuses and signed a contract until 2028 after the 26-year-old forward scored 15 goals and provided 10 assists in 33 games last season.
‘I’m very happy to be here at VfB. I can’t wait to get start. After the game in Stuttgart I became a fan of the team. I like the way they play and the team. I know some people, so it won’t take me long to settle here,’ said Demirovic.
