Argentine journalist has posted on x that Atletico Madrid are in talks to sign Alvaro Morata’s replacement, with talks over a move for Manchester City’s Argentine striker Julian Alvarez taking place.
Morata is closing in on a move to AC Milan on a four-year deal with the option of a further year, so Atletico Madrid are looking for a replacement for the Spain captain who won Euro 2024, with 24-year-old Manchester City striker Alvarez one of the candidates.

Alvarez joined City from River Plate in the summer of 2022, but has played primarily as a back-up to Erling Haaland. The player is contract to City until 2028 and City have no plans to let the Argentine striker leave the Etihad Stadium.
